Editorial policyhow our pages are researched and written
Our goal is to give Fort Worth homeowners accurate, useful information after a fire. This page explains how we research, write and update our content.
Sources
Where our information comes from
We base factual statements on public, authoritative sources: federal agencies such as the U.S. Fire Administration and the EPA, industry standards bodies such as the IICRC, the National Fire Protection Association, the Texas Department of Insurance, the City of Fort Worth and the National Weather Service. Neighborhood history comes from public records, the National Register of Historic Places and reference works. Each page lists its sources, and numbered markers link statements to them.
We write in our own words and check our pages against their sources so that we summarize rather than copy.
Standards
What we never publish
- Invented reviews, ratings, testimonials or customer stories
- Claims about licences, insurance, years in business, response times or guarantees
- Promises about what insurance will pay
- Photos presented as real jobs when they are illustrations
- Advice that replaces the fire department, a licensed electrician, a gas professional or your insurer
Authorship
Who writes our pages
Pages are written and reviewed by the Fire Damage Restoration Fort Worth editorial team. We do not present any individual as a credentialed expert unless that person is real and verifiable. Guides are reviewed when sources change.
Images are created with AI image generation and labelled as illustrative.
